Phoenix Job Related Injury Lawyer

You should seek immediate medical help after suffering an on-the-job injury. If you are injured at work, it is important to notify a supervisor or co-worker. Then consult with an attorney about filing a workers' compensation claim.

At Crossman Law Offices, P.C., we want people to know that all types of work injuries are covered under the workers' compensation system. Sometimes, though, an insurance company or an employer will question the validity of a workers' compensation claim. If the accident and injury occurred on the job, however, the injured worker may be entitled to compensation. We have faced big and small corporations, the State of Arizona, the City of Phoenix and SCF Arizona. The scare tactics they sometimes use do not work on our lawyers. Contact us for a FREE PHONE CONSULTATION to discuss your potential workers' compensation claim directly with a lawyer.

Be sure to tell your doctor that your injury happened on the job or is a job-related injury. If you had a previous injury, tell the doctor how it has changed or worsened because of your work. You also want to make sure that your claim is filed with the Industrial Commission of Arizona in case you need to reopen the case in the future for additional medical treatment.

If you have been out due to a work injury, that does not guarantee you have a job upon return. If you have been threatened with job termination or other employment repercussions, you are still in the workers' compensation system and entitled to workers' compensation benefits.

We want to stress the importance of making somebody aware right away if you are injured at work. Tell a co-worker, spouse or friend what happened, no matter how minor the symptoms may seem initially. When a work injury requires medical treatment, then you should tell a supervisor that you got hurt at work.

Although the statute of limitations allows a person up to one year to file a claim, you should notify at least a co-worker at the time of the accident, even if you don't yet want to file a workers' compensation claim.

Legitimate cases are often questioned when employees attempt to "work through" an injury. Nowadays, there is seldom loyalty for years of hard work, and employers frequently take risks with their employees' lives and health. Contact our Arizona workers' compensation claim attorneys today for assistance after an injury.
