Avery Crossman has been practicing Arizona workers' compensation law since 1994. Ms. Crossman received her Bachelor of Arts degree in 1989 from the University of Arizona and Juris Doctorate degree in 1993 from Oklahoma City University. While in law school, Ms. Crossman was selected to be on staff for the Oklahoma City University Law Review and the Phi Delta Phi Honors.

Ms. Crossman is a State Bar Board Certified Workers' Compensation Specialist and is past Co-Chair of the State Bar Workers' Compensation Section. She is a member of the Maricopa County Bar Association and has served as a faculty member at the State Bar Seminar on Professionalism. She has been appointed by the Arizona Supreme Court as a Judge Pro Tempore in the County, Justice, and Superior Courts. In the past, she has spoken at seminars on Workers' Compensation sponsored by the Industrial Commission of Arizona and the Arizona Association of Lawyers for Injured Workers. Ms. Crossman is a long-time member of the Arizona Association of Lawyers for Injured Workers and is currently serving as its Chairman.

Ms. Crossman has been given an AV Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Rating. According to Martindale-Hubbell, this ranking is a "testament to the fact that a lawyer's peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional excellence." An attorney cannot receive this ranking until he or she has been admitted to the bar for 10 years or more.
